I have supported students for nearly two decades as a teacher, principal, and director within school systems. I now revitalize school systems by igniting creativity, leveraging strengths and assets to build capacity, and linking assessment and feedback to invest in system evolution.

I'm a middle school teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools with experience in culturally responsive instruction, inquiry-based learning, and youth voice facilitation. Over the last 3 years, I have advised National History Day students at Sanford Middle School, leading to state and national awards including two National first places in 2018.

I am an educator with experience as a math teacher, a data coach, and a technology integration specialist. I also bring nonprofit experience as a Senior Program Director at Breakthrough Twin Cities. I oversee programming for a six-year college access program to support highly motivated, yet under-resourced students and families in the Twin Cities.

I am a middle school Language Arts Teacher at Hopkins North Junior High.I have been in education since 2008 working at various schools throughout the metro area. I focus on literacy development for black males, social justice education, innovation in the classroom, and culturally responsive pedagogy. I am an advocate for teachers of color across Minnesota and currently co-lead a group that is aimed at supporting new teachers of color in Hopkins Public Schools.

 I am a veteran educator and a equity teacher who focuses on the critical curriculum building and professional development of racial and cultural consciousness and literacy. I have and has been continuing to infuse the heuristics of cultural anthropology, post-colonial theory, critical whiteness studies, queer theory, diaspora Studies, critical race theory, and culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy to build curriculum and professional development for p-12 educators that creates an “equity praxis consciousness.”

I am a licensed social worker, social justice advocate, community advocate, and Saint Joseph Worker Alumnae. I have over ten years of experience in a variety of settings with diverse clients and has engaged students in spoken word, sex education, and healthy relationships. In 2017 I  received an award of honor from the Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative.
